Our work

The Trust’s work is based around its charitable objectives as follows:

We work directly with our four schools by financially supporting them to maintain their buildings, in appointing Foundation Governors to the overall Governing bodies and in providing specific grants to support the overall educational needs (both spiritual and emotional) of school children. Wherever possible we are looking to disseminate the best practice that our funding has created.

We run and resource events on themes of Christian ethos, RE, spirituality and Collective Worship for Church and non-Church schools in the Cambridge area. These events include our schools’ exhibitions, workshops and walking tours, which are open to all primary schools in the Cambridge area.

We work in partnership with others and fund activities that support the provision of RE, Collective Worship and the educational needs of young people.

We are always interested in hearing about new ideas, activities or links that could help children’s education and spiritual enrichment.

Jesus Lane Sunday School Endowment Fund
The Trust also administers the Jesus Lane Sunday School Endowment Fund, an annual programme of small grants provided to Cambridge churches to support children’s work and links with schools in their parishes.

This Fund is open to Cambridge churches only. For more information on how to apply for a grant, please contact us at admin@csoc.org.uk
