Many of these adapted resources can also be found in on The spiritual child website. This website was created by Victoria Goodman, Sarah Douglas and Carolyn Pritchard who adapted the exhibitions and workshops run by the Church Schools of Cambridge to create resources for all children. The aim of the Spiritual Child Network is:
- Celebrating children’s spirituality, their insights, experiences, gifts and questions.
- Discovering ways we can travel alongside children on our shared Christian journey of faith.
- Providing support, ideas and resources for those involved with children’s ministry within a Christian context.
Lay Chaplaincy in Schools
The Trust, in collaboration with the Diocese of Ely, piloted a Lay Chaplaincy in Schools course to help support people to develop links between schools and the church, and this training forms part of the Authorised Lay Ministry (ALM) programme provided by the Diocese. The pilot started in January 2016 and finished with 10 candidates successfully completing the course, with over half of them already linked with schools throughout Cambridgeshire. The pilot findings have helped inform the Diocese of Ely’s future training offer through the ALM programme. For further information, visit the Diocese of Ely website.
